First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) Customer Service Officer (Multiple Vacancies)



What we are looking for:

  • To recommend customer applications which are considered good credit risk and as per FAB policy
  • To understand competition and suggest changes for product improvements
  • To maintain effective business relationship with all branches and internal departments
  • To ensure that routine problems and complaints are handled professionally and only minimal significant issues are escalated to Team Leader

What you’ll do:
  • Ensure revenue targets are met across all products on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identify, contact and build relationships with prospective customers through a combination of telephone calls, networking and referrals.
  • Work in close relationship with internal teams, providing regular updates on the customer’s expectations, market trends
  • Generate leads and maintain pipe-line in prescribed format.
  • Understand customer needs, propose cost-effective solutions, and take them to closure.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • ·       Minimum Educational Level: Bachelor Degree
  • ·       1-3 years of relevant experience selling banking products or in a financial industry
  • ·       Sales-driven and target-oriented
  • ·       Superior analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail
  • ·       Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • ·       Excellent communication skills and knowledge of English, Arabic is a plus
  • ·       Good understanding of Middle East Market, main 'players' competitors, sensitivities and tendencies.
  • ·       High impact decision making capability.
  • ·       Ability to handle multiple priorities within time constraints.
  • ·       Strategic vision and entrepreneurship.
  • ·       Ownership attitude, pro-activeness, extra-mile drive.

The selected candidate will meet and guide walk-in clients, promote FAB products, offers and non-branch channels.

Generic Accountability
  • Actively sell/cross-sell asset and liability products to new and existing customers
  • Prepare, assess and recommend loan product applications and maintenance requests and forward for approval to Consumer Processing Unit
  • Receive and process customer requests (e.g. account opening, FAB online requests, returned cheque delivery, etc.)
  • Encourage customers to build their balances with the bank in order to migrate to higher customer programs
  • Generate leads for Elite and Elite Gold programs by referring eligible and potential customers to Elite lounges and centres
  • Educate Classic and Advantage customers about automated channels including ATM, call centre and FAB online and promote their migration to these channels
  • Attract new customers to branch through personal relations and existing customer referrals
  • Respond to call center regarding customer inquiries forwarded
  • Meet individual sales targets
  • Participate in and potentially lead daily retail sales team meetings

Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Agree on personal sales targets with the retails sales manager and the branch manager.

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
  •  Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.
  • Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Qualification
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum Experience
  • 3 years’ relevant experience in the banking sector. Familiarity with bank products and related policies and procedures
